T2 – Domestic Airport Extension (NSW)
The extension to the T2 at Sydney Airport will now enable the handling of more and larger aircrafts such as its Airbus A330s from this terminal. With 14 gates up from the previous nine, four are capable of serving the Airbus A330 and other wide-body jets.
T2 terminal itself has gained 4,500m 2 of space which includes the widening of the passenger concourse along Pier A of the pier expansion. It has allowed for additional space to improve passenger circulation and upgrade the retail offering, with new Sunglass Hut, Witchery, Tech2Go and Edge stores.
