The Airport Rail Link Project involved joining the internal and domestic airports to Sydney central. 米6体育APP Pty Ltd is proud to be linked and engaged with this project which also includes the 75 meters long Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM), whose rotating cutter head is capable of cutting a tunnel 10.75 metres in diameter, the largest ever used in Australia and the fourth biggest diameter tunnel in the world. This TBM is state of the art equipment and is trialling, for the first time in the world, a sophisticated computerised collapse detection system. It also has a laser guidance system and is pioneering the use of a slurry system in Australian tunnelling.

米6体育APP Pty Ltd dedicated staff worked tirelessly to bring this project on time and budget, incorporating the latest in technology in underground railway stations. The extensive use of Halogen-free, low toxicity cables, the development of the intricate lighting systems, including three-hour battery backups for the emergency and exit lighting. It was a proud moment for all our staff when this project was the winner of engineering excellence award from the Sydney division of the Institution of Engineers for this overall 700 million project.
