Royal Hobart Hospital Redevelopment (TAS)
The RHHR will deliver a new inpatient precinct, K Block, a new ten storey building within the existing site on Campbell Street.
The new K-Block forms part of the $689 million redevelopment of the Royal Hobart Hospital.
The works will also involve the refurbishment of existing clinical areas with associated building services and includes an allocation for the upgrade of site building services infrastructure. The RHH will remain operational during the redevelopment works.
Stage Two will deliver the inpatient precinct through the construction of K Block – the new ten storey building that will provide:
- an improved environment for intensive care patients
- increased bed capacity
- new operating theatres and procedure rooms
- a dedicated women’s clinic, adolescent’s and children’s precinct
- new maternity and birthing suites
- new mental health facilities
- improved infrastructure.
